Public Transit - Muni
From the Powell Street BART station, take the Muni Metro 'T' line (the light rail) towards the Chinatown station. Get off at the 'Powell & Market' stop. Exit the station and walk up Powell Street for about three blocks until you reach the intersection with Mason Street. Turn left onto Mason Street and walk a short distance to 1201 Mason St, where the San Francisco Cable Car Museum is located.

You can also take the Powell-Hyde or Powell-Mason cable car lines. Board at the Powell & Market cable car turntable. Ride the cable car until you reach the 'Mason & Filbert' stop. From there, walk one block south on Mason Street to 1201 Mason St. The Cable Car Museum will be on your right.

If you are near Union Square, you can walk to the Cable Car Museum. Head northwest on Geary Street towards Powell Street. Turn right onto Powell Street, then continue walking until you reach the intersection with Mason Street. Turn left and walk down Mason Street for a few minutes until you reach 1201 Mason St, where the museum is located.
