    If you are already in Pacific Heights, simply walk towards Lyon Street and Broadway. The steps are easily visible and accessible from the street. From the Presidio, exit at the Lombard Gate and walk south on Lyon Street to Broadway. The entrance to the steps will be on your left.

  • Public Transport

    From Fisherman's Wharf, take the 8 bus from Powell and North Point Streets and transfer to the 45 bus at Columbus Avenue & Union Streets. Take the 45 to the stop at Union Street and Baker Street. Walk one block west along Union Street to Lyon Street, then turn left and walk up the hill. The bottom of the Lyon Street Steps will be on your right after about a block and a half. A single ride on Muni costs $3.

  • Ride-sharing/Taxi

    A taxi or ride-share from Union Square to the Lyon Street Steps will typically cost between $15 and $25, depending on traffic and demand. The ride is approximately 3 miles and takes about 10-15 minutes. Ask your driver to drop you off at the top of the steps on Lyon Street near Broadway for the easiest access.
