From downtown San Francisco, take the F-Line streetcar towards Fisherman's Wharf. The streetcar stops a few blocks from Pier 39. Alternatively, several Muni bus lines, including the 8-Bayshore, 30-Stockton, or 39-Coit, will drop you off near Pier 39. A single ride on Muni costs $3.

If you are already in the Fisherman's Wharf area, Pier 39 is easily accessible by foot. From the intersection of Jefferson Street and Taylor Street, walk east along Jefferson Street, then turn left onto The Embarcadero. Pier 39 will be on your right. The walk is approximately 10 minutes.

Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout San Francisco. A ride from Union Square to Pier 39 typically costs between $16 and $20, depending on traffic.

Driving
If driving, take Highway 101 to the Lombard Street exit. Follow Lombard Street to Van Ness Avenue, turn right on Bay Street, and then left on The Embarcadero. Pier 39 will be on the right. Parking is available in the Pier 39 Garage, but rates can be expensive. Weekday rates are $10 per hour, up to a daily maximum of $50. Weekend and holiday rates are $12 per hour, up to $60 daily. Discounted parking is available at some nearby garages.
