Fisherman's Wharf is easily accessible via public transportation from all points in San Francisco. Take BART to the Embarcadero Station, then transfer to the MUNI F Line historic streetcar to the last stop in Fisherman's Wharf. Umbrella Alley is a short walk west from the F Line stop. Cable Cars and many MUNI Bus lines also serve the area. A one-way cash fare on the F Line is $3.00.

From Pier 39, walk west along the Embarcadero towards Beach Street. Turn left onto Beach Street, and continue for a few blocks. Umbrella Alley will be on your right, next to Ghirardelli Square. The walk is approximately 15 minutes. Be aware that the area can be crowded, especially during peak tourist season.

Paid garage parking is available at the Anchorage Shopping Center Garage (500 Beach St) and the Ghirardelli Square Garage (900 Northpoint Street).
