Driving
From Highway 101 in Santa Barbara, exit onto Highway 154 North towards the Santa Ynez Mountains. Drive approximately 7 miles and turn left onto West Camino Cielo. Continue for 3.5 miles on West Camino Cielo; the parking area for Lizard's Mouth will be on your left. The trailhead is marked by a small wooden sign. Parking is free along the roadside. Be aware that the road is narrow and winding. Note: There are no public transport options available to reach Lizard's Mouth. A personal vehicle is essential.

From the parking area on West Camino Cielo, look for the small wooden sign marking the Lizard's Mouth Trail. Follow the path southwest, which leads through chaparral and sandstone outcroppings. The route climbs slightly uphill to a clearing with views of the coast. From there, traverse the large, sloped sandstone outcrop to reach the top of Lizard's Mouth. The walk from the parking area to Lizard's Mouth is approximately 0.25 miles and takes about 15-30 minutes, depending on your pace and exploration. Cost: Free
