Walking
If you are in the Montecito area, walking is a pleasant way to reach Lotusland. Start at the intersection of Coast Village Road and Olive Mill Road. Head east on Coast Village Road until you reach the intersection with Hot Springs Road. Turn left onto Hot Springs Road. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Cold Spring Road. Turn right onto Cold Spring Road. Lotusland is located at 695 Cold Spring Road, which will be on your left after about a 15-minute walk, depending on your pace.
Public Transit
Another option is to use public transit. You can catch the MTD bus line 20 at any nearby bus stop along Coast Village Road. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time. Ride the bus towards Santa Barbara and get off at the Cold Spring Road stop. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Lotusland, which is located at 695 Cold Spring Road. Head north on Cold Spring Road, and you will find the entrance on your right.
Bicycling
If you're feeling adventurous and have access to a bicycle, you can cycle to Lotusland. Starting from the Montecito Library on Montecito Street, head south towards Coast Village Road. Turn left onto Coast Village Road and continue until you reach the intersection with Hot Springs Road. Turn left onto Hot Springs Road and then right onto Cold Spring Road. Lotusland will be located at 695 Cold Spring Road. The bike ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
