Bus
From Santa Clara, head to the nearest bus stop, which is at the Santa Clara Transit Center. Take the VTA Bus Line 22 towards 'Eastridge'. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop for 'Santa Cruz & 2nd' in Santa Cruz. From there, you can walk to Coast Dairies State Beaches by heading west on 2nd Street until you reach CA-1. Turn right onto CA-1, and continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the beach.

Train and Bus
Make your way to the Santa Clara Caltrain Station. Purchase a ticket for the southbound Caltrain towards 'Gilroy'. Ride the train for about 30 minutes and disembark at the 'Santa Cruz' station. From there, catch the Santa Cruz Metro Bus Line 71 towards 'Westside'. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at 'West Cliff Drive'. Walk towards the beach by following West Cliff Drive directly to Coast Dairies State Beaches.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Santa Clara. Start from the Santa Clara University area and head towards the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail. Follow the trail south until you reach the Guadalupe River Trail. Continue along the river until you reach the outskirts of Santa Cruz. From there, navigate towards CA-1 and follow the bike paths leading to Coast Dairies State Beaches. This route may take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your cycling speed.
