Hiking
If you're starting from the Lodgepole Visitor Center, exit the center and head southeast toward the Generals Highway. Turn left onto the Generals Highway and continue walking for about 1.5 miles. Look for the sign directing you to Amphitheater Point Viewpoint. Follow the marked trail leading uphill for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the viewpoint. Enjoy the stunning views!

From the Lodgepole Visitor Center, catch the seasonal shuttle bus that operates in the park. Make sure to check the shuttle schedule at the Visitor Center. The closest stop to Amphitheater Point Viewpoint is the 'Crescent Meadow' stop. After disembarking, follow the signs for the Amphitheater Point trailhead, which is about a 0.5-mile walk uphill from the bus stop.

If you're at the Giant Forest Museum, head northwest on the paved path toward the Generals Highway. Once you reach the highway, turn right and proceed for about 0.7 miles. Look for the sign indicating the Amphitheater Point trail on your left. Follow the trail, which will take you approximately 0.5 miles uphill to the viewpoint.
