Walking
From the center of Tahoe City, head south on North Lake Boulevard (CA-89) towards the intersection with River Road. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection. Turn left onto River Road and follow it for about 0.3 miles. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Van Sickle Bi-State Park. As you approach the park, you will see a sign indicating the entrance. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Tahoe City. Start at the bike path that runs parallel to North Lake Boulevard (CA-89). Head south on the bike path, enjoying the scenic views of Lake Tahoe. After about 1 mile, you will need to cross over to River Road. Follow River Road for about 0.3 miles. Look for the entrance to Van Sickle Bi-State Park on your right. The entire trip should take around 15-25 minutes, depending on your biking speed.

Take the local bus service, which operates between Tahoe City and South Lake Tahoe. Look for the route that heads towards South Lake Tahoe. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Lake Parkway and Highway 50. From there, walk for about 0.3 miles south on Lake Parkway. The entrance to Van Sickle Bi-State Park will be on your right. The total travel time may vary depending on the bus schedule, but allow at least 30-45 minutes for the journey.
