    If you are starting from the Venice Beach Boardwalk, head east towards Pacific Avenue. Turn left onto Pacific Avenue and continue until you reach the intersection with Venice Boulevard. Cross Venice Boulevard, then continue straight on Pacific Avenue. After about 0.5 miles, you will need to turn right onto Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Continue on Abbot Kinney Boulevard for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with California Avenue. Turn left onto California Avenue, and you will find the entrance to Chumash Trail ahead.

    If you have access to a bike, start at the Venice Beach Boardwalk and head north along the bike path. Continue on the bike path until you reach the intersection with Washington Boulevard. Turn left onto Washington Boulevard and proceed until you reach the intersection with Pacific Avenue. Turn right onto Pacific Avenue and continue until you reach Venice Boulevard. Cross Venice Boulevard and continue straight. When you reach Abbot Kinney Boulevard, turn right and bike for another 0.3 miles until you reach California Avenue. Turn left and you will arrive at Chumash Trail.

    To reach Chumash Trail via public transit, walk to the nearest bus stop on the Venice Boardwalk. Take the Big Blue Bus Line 1 heading towards Santa Monica. Get off at the stop near Abbot Kinney Boulevard. From there, walk towards Abbot Kinney Boulevard and turn left. Continue walking until you reach California Avenue, then turn left again to reach Chumash Trail.
