    Start at the Walnut Creek BART station. Rent a bike from one of the nearby bike rental shops. Head south on California Blvd toward Mt. Diablo Blvd. Turn right onto Mt. Diablo Blvd and follow it until you reach the intersection with Ygnacio Valley Rd. Turn left onto Ygnacio Valley Rd and continue until you reach the intersection with 680 Freeway. Follow the bike lanes on the right side of the road. Once you reach the freeway, look for signs directing you to the BART station where you can take the train to San Francisco. Once in San Francisco, take the N-Judah line towards the Ocean Beach. Get off at the stop for Golden Gate Park. From there, it’s a short walk to the Conservatory of Flowers, located at 100 John F Kennedy Dr. Enjoy the beautiful flowers and exhibits!

  • Public Transit

    From Walnut Creek, start at the Walnut Creek BART station. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After about 40 minutes, get off at the Civic Center/UN Plaza station. Exit the station and transfer to the 5 or 21 Muni bus towards Golden Gate Park. After a short ride on the bus, get off at the stop for John F Kennedy Dr. Walk east along John F Kennedy Dr, and you will see the Conservatory of Flowers on your left at 100 John F Kennedy Dr. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    If you're up for a long walk, start at the Walnut Creek BART station and head west on California Blvd. Continue straight onto Main St. After a few blocks, turn right onto Mt. Diablo Blvd. Follow Mt. Diablo Blvd until you reach the intersection with Ygnacio Valley Rd. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the intersection with the 680 Freeway. Follow the pedestrian paths to the BART station. Take the BART train towards San Francisco, and once you arrive, transfer to the N-Judah line towards Ocean Beach. Get off at the stop for Golden Gate Park and walk to the Conservatory of Flowers. This journey will take over 2 hours, so be prepared for a good walk!
