From Temuco, take Route 5 north towards Collipulli. This is a scenic drive that takes approximately 1.5 hours. As you approach Collipulli, you will see signs for Puente Malleco. Exit onto Route 181 and follow it until you reach the bridge. There is free parking available near the bridge.

Bus

You can take a bus from Temuco to Collipulli. Buses operate frequently from the main terminal (Terminal de Buses de Temuco) to Collipulli. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Collipulli, you can take a taxi or a local bus to Puente Malleco, which is roughly 10 km away. Taxis are available at the bus station, and the fare should be around 5,000 to 10,000 CLP.

Taxi

If you are already in Collipulli, you can take a taxi directly to Puente Malleco. The ride should take around 15 minutes and cost approximately 5,000 to 10,000 CLP, depending on traffic.

Walking

If you are staying in Collipulli and prefer a more adventurous route, you can walk to Puente Malleco. The bridge is about 10 km away from the town center. Follow Route 181 heading east, but ensure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as it may take about 2 to 2.5 hours to walk.
