Car
If you are driving from Temuco, take Route 5 (Panamericana) heading north. After approximately 70 kilometers, take the exit toward Collipulli on Ruta 180. Continue on Route 180 for about 15 kilometers until you reach the town of Collipulli. From Collipulli, follow the signs to Reserva Nacional Malleco, which is about 10 kilometers away. Be aware that there may be some gravel roads leading to the park entrance, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.

To reach Reserva Nacional Malleco via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Temuco to Collipulli. Buses leave frequently from the main terminal in Temuco. The trip will take around 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Collipulli, you can take a local taxi or colectivo (shared taxi) to the entrance of Reserva Nacional Malleco, which is about 10 kilometers away. Expect to pay around CLP 5,000 - 7,000 for the taxi ride. Ensure you check the bus schedule for return trips to Temuco.

Combination (Car + Hiking)
For those who want to explore more of the area, you can drive to Collipulli as described above and then park at the entrance of Reserva Nacional Malleco. From there, several hiking trails lead into the reserve. Make sure to bring sufficient supplies for hiking, including water and snacks, as there are no facilities within the reserve.
