Getting There

  • Walking

    The University of Aysén is located at Obispo Vielmo 62 in Coyhaique. From the Plaza de Armas, head east on General Baquedano, then turn left onto Dr. José Miguel Carrera. Turn right onto Obispo Vielmo; the university will be on your right. The walk is approximately 15 minutes.

    From the Coyhaique bus terminal, you can walk to the University of Aysén in about 15 minutes. Alternatively, take a local taxi from the terminal to Obispo Vielmo 62. The local bus also runs near the University.

    Taxis are readily available in Coyhaique. A taxi ride from the city center to the University of Aysén will take approximately 5-10 minutes. Expect to pay around 3,000-5,000 CLP. Taxi fares in Coyhaique have a starting price of 350 CLP, with each kilometer costing 1,000 CLP.
