Getting There

• Car

  From Santiago, take Route 5 North (Pan-American Highway) towards La Serena. Continue on Route 5 until you reach the junction for Route 31, which leads to San Pedro de Atacama. Follow Route 31 for approximately 1.5 hours until you arrive in San Pedro de Atacama. Once in San Pedro, head towards Camino Pukará and follow the signs to Alto Atacama Desert Lodge & Spa. The lodge is located at Camino Pukará, Suchor s/n, San Pedro de Atacama, Antofagasta. Expect a travel time of around 24 hours total from Santiago, including stops.

• Public Transportation

  From Santiago, you can take a bus from Terminal Alameda to San Pedro de Atacama. Several companies operate this route, including Bus Norte and Pullman. The bus journey takes approximately 24 hours, and tickets typically range from CLP 25,000 to CLP 40,000, depending on the service you choose. Upon arrival in San Pedro de Atacama, you can take a taxi or book a shuttle to Alto Atacama Desert Lodge & Spa, which is roughly 3 kilometers from the town center.

• Shuttle Service

  For those who prefer a more direct route after arriving in San Pedro de Atacama, you can pre-book a shuttle service from your bus terminal to Alto Atacama Desert Lodge & Spa. This can be arranged through the hotel or local travel agencies. The shuttle will take about 10 minutes and typically costs around CLP 5,000 to CLP 10,000 per person.
