If you are driving from central Cartagena, start by heading southeast on Carrera 1 towards Calle 30. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida San Martin, which will turn into Avenida de los Estudiantes. After approximately 1 kilometer, keep left to stay on Avenida de los Estudiantes. Continue for another 1.5 kilometers, and then turn left onto Calle 30, following the signs for 'Centro Historico'. After 500 meters, you will see the entrance to Playa de la Artilleria on your right, where Baluarte de Santa Cruz is located. Parking options are available nearby but may incur a fee of around 10,000 to 20,000 COP.

To reach Baluarte de Santa Cruz by public transport, you can take a local bus that runs along the main routes in Cartagena. Look for buses labeled 'Centro' or 'Playa' which typically operate from the bus terminal. Board the bus and pay approximately 2,000 COP for your fare. Ask the driver to let you off at 'Playa de la Artilleria'. From the bus stop, you will need to walk about 300 meters along the beach to reach Baluarte de Santa Cruz. Alternatively, you may also consider using a taxi or rideshare service, which will cost around 10,000 to 15,000 COP from the central areas of Cartagena.
