Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Walled City (Ciudad Amurallada), head towards the entrance of the historic district at the Clock Tower (Torre del Reloj). From there, walk straight along the Avenida de la República until you reach the Plaza de la Paz. Continue straight through the plaza, and you will see the entrance to Plaza de la Merced on your right, just past the intersection with Calle 4.

From the popular area of Getsemaní, make your way towards the Pedro de Heredia Avenue (Avenida Pedro de Heredia). Walk north until you reach the intersection with Calle 4. Turn left onto Calle 4, and continue walking straight until you reach Plaza de la Merced, which will be on your left.

If you are near the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, exit the castle and head straight down the hill towards the Avenida del Libertador. Turn right and walk until you reach the Plaza de la Paz. From there, take the road that leads straight into Plaza de la Merced, which will be on your right just past the intersection with Calle 4.
