Salento's town center is easily walkable. From Plaza de Bolívar, most attractions, restaurants, and shops are within a 10-minute walk. To reach Mirador Alto de la Cruz, head up Carrera 6 (Calle Real) and climb the steep staircase. The walk to the top takes about 15-20 minutes. No cost is involved.
Public Transport

To get to Cocora Valley from Salento, take a Willy (shared jeep) from Plaza de Bolívar. Tickets can be purchased at the kiosk on the southeast side of the plaza for approximately 10,000 COP roundtrip. The ride takes about 25 minutes. Jeeps leave frequently, approximately every 15 minutes, starting around 6:30 AM. Be prepared to wait for the jeep to fill up.
Taxi

Taxis are available in Salento, but they are not as common as Willys. You can ask your hotel to call a taxi for you. A taxi to Armenia (approximately 24 km) costs around 18,000-22,000 COP. A taxi to Pereira airport (approximately 45 km) can cost around 140,000-150,000 COP. Always confirm the price before starting your journey.
