Bus
From central Ibagué, head to the Terminal de Transportes (Bus Terminal). You can take a taxi or walk to the terminal, which is located on Calle 60. Once at the terminal, look for buses heading to Salento. The buses operate frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. The journey to Salento will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to notify the driver or conductor that you want to get off in Salento.
Shared Van (Colectivo)
At the Terminal de Transportes in central Ibagué, you can also find shared vans (colectivos) heading to Salento. These vans usually leave once they are full, so you may wait a bit longer compared to the buses. They are a bit quicker, taking around 1.5 hours to reach Salento. Be sure to tell the driver your destination before getting in.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Ibagué to Salento. While this is the most expensive option, it will provide a comfortable and faster journey, taking around 1.5 hours. Simply ask your hotel or ask locals for a reliable taxi service. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your trip.
