Kid's Museum: A World of Playful Learning

The Kid's Museum (Museo de los Niños) in Bogotá is designed to inspire children's imagination and provide an engaging, interactive learning environment. Established in 1986, the museum has been a long-standing attraction for families, offering exhibits that cover science, technology, culture, and arts. The museum aims to make education a playful event rather than a chore, with hands-on exhibits that encourage exploration and discovery. The museum features various interactive displays and creative workshops that cater to different age groups. Previously, the museum included a Boeing 720 aircraft in its outer gardens to teach children about aeronautics and a miniature city to educate on traffic rules. To celebrate its 15th anniversary, young Colombian artists painted murals on the museum walls, which became a landmark for art students. While the original museum closed in 2017 and was later replaced by a park with bouncing houses, bicycle rides and races, the Kid's Museum remains a notable reference point in the city.
