Getting There

  • Walking

    The Historical Society of Idaho Springs & Visitor Center is located at 2060 Miner Street in the heart of downtown Idaho Springs. From most points in the downtown area, it's easily accessible on foot. Simply head towards the main street (Miner Street) and look for the building.

  • Driving

    If arriving by car, take Exit 240 from I-70 and follow the signs to Idaho Springs. Once you're on Miner Street, the visitor center will be on your right. Parking is available on the street, with both paid and free options. Check the Park Idaho Springs website or app for real-time availability and rates. Paid parking costs $5 for the first two hours, then $2.50 per hour for the next two hours, and $5 for each subsequent hour, up to a daily maximum of $30. Free parking is available in designated 15-minute and 3-hour zones.

  • Public Transport

    Idaho Springs is accessible via the Bustang and Pegasus bus services from Denver. From the bus stop, the Historical Society & Visitor Center is a short walk. Head west on Miner Street towards the center of town.
