Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from anywhere in the Colorado River Valley, head east on CO-66 E. Continue on CO-66 E until you reach I-25 S. Merge onto I-25 S and continue for about 18 miles. Take exit 243 for CO-119 toward Longmont. After approximately 6 miles, take the exit onto CO-52 E. Follow CO-52 E for about 9 miles. Turn right onto Historic Pkwy, and you will find the South Platte Valley Historical Society at 2001 Historic Pkwy, Fort Lupton, CO 80621. There is free parking available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, start by taking the local bus service (check local schedules for specific routes) to the nearest major transit hub. From there, you will need to board the RTD bus route that services the area towards Fort Lupton. Look for route details on the RTD website. Once you arrive in Fort Lupton, you can walk or take a short taxi ride to 2001 Historic Pkwy, Fort Lupton, CO 80621. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as service may vary.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer biking, you can take the local bike paths toward Fort Lupton. Follow the designated bike lanes on CO-66 E until you reach CO-52 E. Proceed on CO-52 E, then turn right onto Historic Pkwy. The distance is approximately 25 miles, so ensure you are well-prepared with water and snacks. There are bike racks available at the South Platte Valley Historical Society.
