From downtown Manitou Springs, head east on Manitou Avenue (US-24) towards the intersection with El Paso Boulevard. Continue on Manitou Avenue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-24. Once you reach this intersection, you have two options: either follow the sidewalk along US-24 towards Cascade, or take the trail that leads you through the scenic areas nearby. If you choose the sidewalk option, be cautious as it's along a busy road. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 miles, and you'll see the entrance to Rainbow Falls on your left. The walk should take about 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.

You can take the Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) bus from downtown Manitou Springs. Catch the bus route 33 from the Manitou Springs town center towards Colorado Springs. Inform the driver that you need to get off at the stop for Rainbow Falls. The bus ride will take around 10-15 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule for the return trip as the buses run less frequently in the evening. The fare for a single ride is approximately $1.25.
