Walking
The Trailhead Children's Museum is located at 501 Elk Avenue in downtown Crested Butte. It is easily accessible on foot from most locations in town, as Crested Butte is just about one-square mile. From the 4-Way Bus Stop, walk less than a block up Elk Avenue to the Trailhead. Walking from one end of town to the museum will take 15 minutes or less.

Public Transport
The Mountain Express town shuttle provides free transportation around Crested Butte. Get off the Town Shuttle at the 4-Way Bus Stop and walk less than a block up Elk Avenue to the Trailhead. The 4-Way Stop is the second stop in town if you are traveling from Mt. Crested Butte. The Mountain Express runs every 15 minutes in the winter and every 40 minutes in the summer.

Driving
If driving, parking is available on 5th St, between Elk Ave and Maroon Ave. Street parking is limited to 2 hours. Parking is also available at the 4-Way Bus Stop. Parking in Crested Butte is highly regulated. There are no public parking lots in either town where you can park a vehicle overnight.
