Discover more about Seven Minute Spring

Seven Minute Spring, located at 422 Washington Ave in Manitou Springs, Colorado, offers a refreshing taste of history and naturally carbonated mineral water. The spring was initially drilled in 1909 near the former Manitou House Hotel. Its name comes from the geyser-like eruptions that occurred every seven minutes due to the unique carbonation of the water. In its early years, the spring was surrounded by various commercial ventures, including curio shops and even a miniature railroad. However, the site eventually fell into disrepair. In 1993, the area was redeveloped into the Seven Minute Spring Park. The park features a gazebo designed with inspiration from the 1880s Ute Iron Spring structure, an outdoor amphitheater, and a sculpture garden. Today, visitors can enjoy the beautifully landscaped park, relax in the gazebo, and sample the distinct mineral water. The water is known for its crisp, clean flavor and subtle mineral taste, making it a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The park is open 24 hours a day, offering a serene escape and a chance to connect with Manitou Springs' unique mineral spring heritage.
