Getting There

• Driving

  If you are driving from the Denver area, take I-70 West towards Grand Junction. Continue on I-70 for about 15 miles until you reach Exit 259 for Morrison. Merge onto CO-93 South and follow the signs for Morrison. After about 4 miles, turn left onto CO-8. The museum will be on your right at 501 CO-8, Morrison, CO 80465. There is free parking available on site.

• Public Transportation

  From Denver, take the RTD Light Rail (C Line) to the Littleton - Mineral Station. From there, you can catch the 56 bus (the 'Morrison' route) that will take you directly to Morrison. Get off at the stop closest to CO-8 and walk about half a mile to the museum. Be sure to check the RTD website for current schedules and possible fares.

• Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply input 'Morrison Natural History Museum' or the address '501 CO-8, Morrison, CO 80465' as your destination. The cost will vary depending on your pickup location but expect to pay around $30-$50 from downtown Denver.

• Biking

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can bike to the museum. From Denver, take the South Platte River Trail which connects to the Bear Creek Trail. Follow the trail towards Morrison. The ride is approximately 17 miles and offers beautiful scenery. Once you reach Morrison, the museum is just off CO-8. Please ensure you have a bike lock as there are outdoor bike racks available.
