  • Driving

    If driving from Estes Park, head west on US-36. Turn onto Bear Lake Road. The Moraine Park Discovery Center is located 1.5 miles from the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station on Bear Lake Road. Note that a timed entry permit may be required to enter the park during certain seasons. Parking is available at the Discovery Center.

  • Public Transport

    From the Estes Park Visitor Center, take the Hiker Shuttle to the Park & Ride Transit Hub on Bear Lake Road. From there, transfer to the Moraine Park Shuttle. The Moraine Park Shuttle stops at the Fern Lake Bus Stop, Cub Lake Trailhead, Moraine Park Campground, and Sprague Lake/Glacier Creek Stables before returning to the Park & Ride. The Discovery Center is a short walk from the Moraine Park Campground or the Fern Lake Bus Stop. Shuttle tickets and a valid park entrance pass are required. The Hiker Shuttle requires reservations made in advance.

    If you are staying at the Moraine Park Campground, you can walk to the Moraine Park Discovery Center by heading east on Bear Lake Road. The walk is approximately 30 minutes from the campgrounds and picnic area. Alternatively, utilize the connector trails from the south end of the campground.
