Walking
Start at the Salida River Park, located at 340 E 1st St, Salida, CO 81201. From the park, head east on E 1st St toward I St for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with US-50. Turn left onto US-50 and continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with CR-160. Turn right onto CR-160 and follow it for approximately 0.4 miles until you see the trailhead for Tenderfoot Hill on your right. The trailhead is marked and there is a small parking area.

If you have a bike, you can start at the Salida River Park. From the park, head east on E 1st St toward I St. When you reach the intersection with US-50, turn left and cycle for about 0.5 miles. Once you reach the intersection with CR-160, turn right and follow the road for another 0.4 miles. You will find the trailhead for Tenderfoot Hill on your right side. There are bike racks available at the trailhead.
