Getting There

• Bicycle

  To reach Trinidad Lake State Park by bicycle from downtown Trinidad, start at the intersection of Main Street and Commercial Street. Head east on Commercial Street until you reach the intersection with Colorado Highway 350. Turn left onto Highway 350 and follow it for approximately 1 mile. You will then merge onto CO-12. Continue on CO-12 for about 5 miles, enjoying the scenic views. The entrance to Trinidad Lake State Park will be on your left at 32610 CO-12. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk to Trinidad Lake State Park from downtown Trinidad, start at the Trinidad History Museum located at 312 E Main St. Walk east on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Colorado Highway 350. Cross the highway carefully, then head south on CO-12. Follow CO-12 for about 5 miles. The park entrance will be on your left at 32610 CO-12. It's a long walk, so plan accordingly and stay hydrated.
