From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Train Station located at 2 Railroad Ave. Purchase a ticket to New York City. Board a Metro-North Railroad train heading to Grand Central Terminal. Once you arrive at Grand Central, transfer to the subway by following the signs to the 42nd Street subway station. Take the 1 train (the red line) towards South Ferry.

After boarding the 1 train at Grand Central, travel for about 15 stops until you reach the 110th Street - Cathedral Parkway station. Once you exit the train, follow the signs that lead you to the exit. After leaving the station, walk west on Cathedral Parkway (also known as 110th Street) for about 5 minutes until you reach Amsterdam Avenue. Turn left on Amsterdam Avenue, and you will see the Cathedral of St. John the Divine at 1047 Amsterdam Ave.

Bus
Another option is to take the bus from Greenwich. Head to the nearest bus stop and catch a local bus heading toward Stamford or New Haven. Once you reach Stamford, transfer to a bus that goes to New York City. Once you arrive in Manhattan, ask for directions to the nearest subway station, and take the 1 train from there towards South Ferry. Follow the same subway and walking directions as mentioned above to reach the Cathedral.
