Once you arrive at Grand Central, transfer to the subway by following the signs to the 42nd Street subway station. Take the 1 train (the red line) towards South Ferry.

Turn left on Amsterdam Avenue, and you will see the Cathedral of St. John the Divine at 1047 Amsterdam Ave.

    Another option is to take the bus from Greenwich. Head to the nearest bus stop and catch a local bus heading toward Stamford or New Haven. Once you reach Stamford, transfer to a bus that goes to New York City. Once you arrive in Manhattan, ask for directions to the nearest subway station, and take the 1 train from there towards South Ferry.
