The journey will take approximately 50 minutes. Disembark at Grand Central Terminal. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit.

    After exiting Grand Central Terminal, walk to the Grand Central subway station located within the terminal. Take the 7 train (Flushing-bound) from Grand Central to Times Square-42nd Street. Change to the 1, 2, or 3 train at Times Square and head downtown (1 train preferred) to 59th Street-Columbus Circle. From there, exit the station and walk west towards Central Park. The New-York Historical Society is located at 170 Central Park West, just a few blocks away.

    From Stamford, you can take the Greyhound or Megabus service to New York City. The buses typically leave from the Stamford Transportation Center. Once you arrive in New York City, head to the nearest subway station and catch the 1 train from 34th Street-Penn Station downtown to 59th Street-Columbus Circle. From there, it’s a short walk west on 59th Street to Central Park West, where the New-York Historical Society is located.
