Walking
If you are starting from the main beach area in Arorangi, head towards the beach and walk towards the west. Follow the coastline along the sandy path, enjoying the views of the ocean on your left. Continue walking until you reach the end of the beach area where the path leads to Vaiakura Tapere. Once you reach the end of the beach, look for the sign indicating Vaiakura Tapere. From there, follow the road that curves inland. Keep walking straight for about 10-15 minutes, and you will see Anchor's Rest on your right side. It’s a holiday home located in the Vaiakura Tapere area.

Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a nearby shop in Arorangi. Start your ride from the main beach area, heading west along the coastal road. Cycling along the shore provides beautiful scenery. Continue straight until you reach the junction leading to Vaiakura Tapere. Take that road and cycle for approximately 10 minutes. You will find Anchor's Rest on your right side. Make sure to park your bicycle safely before entering.

To reach Anchor's Rest via public transport, locate the nearest bus stop in Arorangi. Take the local bus heading towards Avarua and inform the driver that you want to get off at Vaiakura Tapere. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Once you get off at the Vaiakura Tapere stop, walk about 5 minutes along the road, and you will find Anchor's Rest on your right. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.
