Start from any location in Atiu and head towards the main road that leads to the southern part of the island. Drive towards the Atiu Airport, which is located on the southern end. The distance is approximately 10 km and takes around 15 minutes. Once you reach the airport, you will find flights to Aitutaki. Make sure to book your flight in advance, as seats can fill up quickly. The flight typically costs around NZD 200-300.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a local bus from any point in Atiu to the Atiu Airport. Buses run several times a day, and the fare is generally around NZD 5. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. Once at the airport, you can catch a flight to Aitutaki. Ensure to check the flight schedule ahead of time as there may not be many options available.
