The local bus service, Cook's Island Bus, offers clockwise and anti-clockwise routes around the island, with frequent stops in Avarua. A single ride costs $5 NZD, and a day pass is available for $20 NZD. From the bus terminal in Avarua, walk towards the main road (Ara Tapu) and head east. Cook Islands Tours will be on your left.
