Walking
From the central Avarua area, head south on Ara Tapu (the main road) towards the Avatiu Tapere district. Continue walking straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Avatiu Harbour. At this point, you will see signs pointing towards Raro Reef Sub. Turn left at the intersection and follow the signs leading to the boat tour agency. Raro Reef Sub is located near the waterfront, and you’ll see their signage as you approach the harbor.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from Avarua town center and ride south on Ara Tapu. Keep cycling straight for about 1.5 kilometers towards the Avatiu Harbour area. Once you reach the intersection with Avatiu Harbour, look for signs directing you to Raro Reef Sub. Turn left and continue towards the waterfront where Raro Reef Sub is located. Bicycle parking may be available near the agency.
Public Transport (Bus)
To reach Raro Reef Sub via public transport, locate the nearest bus stop in Avarua. Look for the buses heading towards Avatiu. Board the bus and inform the driver you want to get off at Avatiu Harbour. The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you disembark at Avatiu Harbour, walk towards the waterfront and follow the signs to Raro Reef Sub, which should be visible from the harbor.
