Start in the center of Avatiu. Head towards the main road, Ara Tapu. Walk along this road towards the northwest. Continue walking for about 20-30 minutes until you reach the junction near Avarua. At this junction, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Black Rock. You will see a small path leading off to the left. Follow this path, which will take you closer to the coastline. As you approach the coast, you should see Black Rock ahead. Be mindful of any local signs or markers that indicate the direction.

If you have rented a bicycle, start from Avatiu and head towards the main road, Ara Tapu. Cycle northwest for about 20 minutes until you reach the junction near Avarua.
