  • Public Transport

    From Avarua, take either the Clockwise or Anti-Clockwise bus towards Muri Village. The bus stops at the gate of Tropical Sands. Buses operate every hour, Monday to Saturday. A single fare is approximately NZ$5.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available from Rarotonga Airport or Avarua. A taxi from the airport to Tropical Sands will cost approximately NZ$40. From Avarua, expect to pay around NZ$25-30. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

  • Car/Scooter

    From Rarotonga Airport, follow the main road east towards Muri. Tropical Sands is located a short drive past Muri, on the ocean side of the road in Matavera. Free parking is available at Tropical Sands. Scooter rentals are a popular option, with many rental locations in Avarua and Muri.
