From La Fortuna, take a local bus towards San Carlos. Buses leave from the main bus station and cost approximately ₡1,500-₡2,500. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once in San Carlos, take a taxi to Cavernas de Venado, which is about 4 km away. A taxi should cost around ₡3,000-₡4,000.

From Arenal Volcano National Park, head west on Route 142 towards La Fortuna. Continue for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the intersection with Route 4. Turn left onto Route 4 and drive for about 30 minutes. Look for signs for Cavernas de Venado, located about 1 km off the main road. Parking is available on site free of charge.
