Located within the Pacuare Protected Zone, near the Talamanca Mountains, the lodge is about 20 miles from Siquirres, Costa Rica. Founded by Roberto Fernández and Luz, the lodge was born from a vision of using adventure travel as a vehicle for transformation and protecting vast expanses of forest. The lodge's 20 suites and villas are constructed with sustainable wood and feature thatched roofs crafted by local Cabécar Indians, blending seamlessly with the surrounding rainforest. The open-air design immerses guests in the sights and sounds of the jungle, while hardwood floors, king-size beds, and indoor/outdoor bathrooms provide comfort and luxury. Some villas even boast private spring-fed pools and suspension bridges leading to platforms high in the rainforest canopy. Getting to Pacuare Lodge is an adventure in itself. While arrival by raft is the most common and thrilling option, guests can also opt for land transportation or even a helicopter. The lodge offers a range of activities, including canopy tours, canyoning, bird watching, indigenous hikes, and sustainability tours.
