Getting There

    From the center of Cahuita town, walk east towards the main entrance of Cahuita National Park, also known as Kelly Creek Station. The entrance is a short 5-minute walk from most accommodations in Cahuita. Once inside the park, follow the well-maintained coastal trail towards Punta Cahuita. The walk to Punta Cahuita from the Kelly Creek entrance is approximately 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) and should take around 1-2 hours at a leisurely pace. Note: Admission to the Kelly Creek Station is by donation. Donations support conservation efforts within the park.

    From Puerto Viejo, take the MEPE bus towards Limon and get off at Cahuita. The bus will drop you off at the Cahuita bus terminal, which is a short walk to the Kelly Creek entrance of Cahuita National Park. From the bus terminal, walk east towards the park entrance. The entrance is a short 5-minute walk from the bus terminal. Bus fare from Puerto Viejo to Cahuita is approximately ₡1000-₡2000 (USD $2-4).
