Car
From Turrialba, take Route 10 (La Cangreja road) east, following signs for 'Volcán Turrialba' for approximately 15 km. The road leads directly to the park entrance. Note that the road becomes rocky and steep closer to the park, and a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Parking is available at the entrance for a small fee (approximately $2).

Take a bus from Turrialba to the Turrialba Volcano from the main bus terminal. The bus ride takes 30-45 minutes and costs around $2. Ask the driver for Turrialba Volcano or 'Volcán Turrialba' as your destination. From the bus stop, walk approximately 1 km to the park entrance.
