Be cautious and wear appropriate footwear.

From Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, a taxi to the Bri Bri Waterfalls area will cost approximately $30-$40. Ask the driver to take you to the entrance of Catarata Ma-Cu or Bri Bri Sparkling Waterfalls. From there, follow the walking directions to reach the falls. Note that taxis may not always be readily available at the waterfall entrance for your return trip, so arrange a pick-up time in advance or be prepared to wait.

Take the MEPE bus from Puerto Viejo towards Bribri. Ask the driver to drop you off near the Catarata Ma-Cu entrance. Bus fare is approximately ₡1000-₡2000. From the drop-off point, follow the walking directions to reach the falls. Buses run hourly, but check the schedule in advance.
