From downtown San Jose, head to the main bus terminal, Terminal 7-10, located at Avenida 7 and Calle 10. Look for the buses heading to Cartago; they are frequent and take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once on the bus, ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Iztarú Park. After getting off, walk towards the park entrance, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

You can take a taxi from anywhere in San Jose to Iztarú Park. If you are near the central area, simply flag down a taxi or use a ride-hailing app. Provide the driver with the address 'V34P+M2V, Cartago Province, Cartago'. The drive will take about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.

If you are in the nearby area of Cartago, you can walk to Iztarú Park. Start from the central park of Cartago (Parque Central de Cartago) and head southeast on Avenida 1. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with V34P+M2V. Turn left and follow V34P+M2V for about 1.5 km until you see the entrance to Iztarú Park on your right.
