Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, you will first need to reach the entrance of Chirripó National Park, which is located near the town of San Isidro de El General. From there, take Route 2 (Interamericana) towards San José and then take Route 10 towards Pérez Zeledón. Follow the signs for Chirripó National Park, which will lead you to the town of La Amistad. Once you reach the park entrance, park your car and prepare for a hike.

  • Hiking

    Once you enter Chirripó National Park, you will need to hike approximately 2-3 hours to reach Monte Sky. The trail is marked and takes you through beautiful forested areas and offers stunning views. Make sure to follow the signs leading to Monte Sky. If you are unsure, ask a park ranger for directions.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus from San José to San Isidro de El General. From San Isidro, you can take a local bus to La Amistad, which is close to the park entrance. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to hike to Monte Sky as described above.

  • Entrance Fee

    Please note that there is an entrance fee to the national park, which is approximately $10 per person. Make sure to have cash available, as credit cards may not be accepted.
