Boat
Pachira Lodge is accessible only by boat from the village of Tortuguero. Upon arrival in Tortuguero via domestic flight or bus/boat combination, a short boat ride is required to reach the lodge. This boat trip typically takes about 5 minutes, as the lodge is located across the main canal from the town. The cost is typically included in a package.

Public Transport
To reach Tortuguero and subsequently Pachira Lodge via public transport, take a bus from San José to La Pavona. From La Pavona, take a boat to Tortuguero. The bus from San José to Tortuguero costs around $70 and takes approximately 2.5 hours. The boat from La Pavona to Tortuguero is approximately $5-10. Once in Tortuguero, a short boat ride to Pachira Lodge is necessary.
