Boat
Most visitors arrive at Evergreen Lodge via boat from La Pavona, the closest mainland access point. From La Pavona, boats depart regularly throughout the day. The boat trip takes approximately 1.5 hours and costs around $8 USD (approximately ₡4,000 colones) per person, one way. Purchase tickets at the restaurant near the dock in La Pavona. Luggage may be transported in a separate boat for an additional fee. Ensure to confirm boat schedules in advance, as they may vary depending on water levels and seasonal changes.

Alternatively, you can fly into Tortuguero's small landing strip from San José. Sansa Airlines offers daily flights, with a flight time of less than an hour. Prices range from $100 to $150 USD per person each way. From the airstrip, a short boat ride will take you to Evergreen Lodge.
