Hum is most easily accessed by car. From Buzet, follow the signs for Hum. The drive is approximately 20 minutes. Parking is available just outside the town walls for a flat rate of €3.

For a scenic approach, consider walking the Glagolitic Alley, a 7-kilometer path featuring 11 stone sculptures that represent the Croatian Glagolitic script. The alley begins near Roč and ends at the entrance to Hum. Allow approximately 2-3 hours for the walk.

You can take a train to the 'Hum u Istri' train station, followed by a 45-minute walk (approximately 3 kilometers) over two hills to reach the town. Check the train timetable for accurate timings. There are also some daily tours to Hum from Rijeka, Pula, Trieste, and Koper.
