Leventis' vision to establish a public gallery in his homeland, ensuring his remarkable art collection could be appreciated by all. The gallery's collection is divided into three main units : * The Paris Collection features European artists from the 17th to the 20th centuries, including Canaletto, Boucher, Fragonard, Corot, Renoir, Monet and Chagall. * The Greek Collection focuses on 19th- and 20th-century Greek artists, providing insight into Greece's artistic heritage. * The Cyprus Collection is dedicated to the first generation of Cypriot artists, born between 1884 and 1930, who played a crucial role in laying the foundation for contemporary Cypriot art. The building itself, designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and J&A Philippou, is an architectural achievement, designed to minimize energy use with enhanced insulation and natural lighting.
