Follow the D1 southbound until you reach the exit for the E65 highway towards Vyšší Brod. Merge onto the E65 and continue heading south. Once you reach the town of Vyšší Brod, follow signs for the Šumava National Park. The park is approximately 45 kilometers from Vyšší Brod, and you will follow local roads into the park area. Be aware that parking fees may apply at various trailheads within the park.

    To reach Šumava National Park using public transportation, start by taking a train from your location in the Beskids to the nearest major train station, such as Vsetín or Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. From there, take a train to České Budějovice.
