Founded in 1984 by the visionary mezzo-soprano Irene Dalis, OSJ has carved a unique niche in the American opera landscape through its unwavering commitment to nurturing emerging artists and presenting captivating, accessible performances. OSJ is the only opera company in the United States that maintains a year-long resident company of principal artists.
