Public Transport
Santa Clara University is easily accessible via public transportation. The Santa Clara Caltrain station is located directly across the street from the university on the Alameda. Several VTA bus lines also serve the campus, with stops around the perimeter. A single VTA bus ride costs $2.50, with a day pass available for $7.50. Caltrain fares vary depending on the distance traveled. From the Caltrain station, it's a short walk to the heart of campus.
Walking
If you are already in downtown Santa Clara or near the Caltrain station, walking to Santa Clara University is a convenient option. From the Santa Clara Caltrain Station, simply head west on the Alameda, and the campus will be directly in front of you. The walk is approximately 0.3 miles and takes about 5 minutes. As you approach, you'll see the iconic Mission Santa Clara de Asís, marking the center of the university.
Driving
If driving, you can reach Santa Clara University via El Camino Real (Highway 82). The university is located at 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95053. Parking is available in various lots across campus. The Main Parking Structure is located at 500 El Camino Real. Visitor parking permits are required on campus Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Parking rates vary, with options for hourly and daily passes. The cost is $5.00 at the SCU Central Parking Structure. Be aware of time limits on parking signs.
